Who is your Kuldevata

In the GSB tradition, every family has a deity called Kuldevata. While GSBs worship other deities according to their faith, the Kuldevatas hold a special place in our worship synonymous to our relationship with our parents; assigned to us at birth. History shows us that during the portuguese inquisition our ancestors suffered greatly and sacrificed their lives to ensure that the symbols/idols of our Kuldevatas are not desecreated. Most of the main Kuldevata temples are in Goa and a few in Karnataka. The list given below is not exhaustive and there may be some variations. Readers are highly encouraged to speak to their family elders and extended family (Jayje) to know who their Kuldevata is.
