Doopadakatte is a small locality at Athooru at a distance of 5 kms from Karkala.
In 1921, Shri Nandalike Rama Kudva installed (prathisthapana) an idol of Ganapathi carved out of marble stone. The management of the temple was done by the Kudva family but the locals started coming in for darshana and puja. In 1946, the community started a bhajana mandali at the temple.
The temple also has a wedding hall attached to it.
